I really like the look of the ALOX handled SAKs. I'd like to get one that is a bit larger, but am a bit unfamiliar with the different models. What are y'all's (I'm from the midwest, what can I say?) favorite ALOX handled SAKs?

I really like the Pioneer Pruner, (though I don't really like the name).

It's about 3-3/4" with 2 blades. The smaller of the two is a pretty nasty little hawkbill.
The larger is the usual Victorinox blade shape about 3 inches in length.

Very solid feeling knife which I've been EDC'ing recently.

Victorinox makes a similar knife with a "regular" small blade rather than a hawkbill; it's called the Pioneer Settler.

I've been a big fan of the Soldier for a long time. It's been my left pocket EDC for about six years now. My only complaint is that I'd rather have another small blade instead of the awl, but it gets the job done.

I Love my Farmer, but like you I would like it to have a small blade but I do like the awl were it is. Just add a small blade.

Again another  for the Farmer...it gets carried whenever I don't have my Demo knive in my pocket (not too often but maybe about once a week).

I also, briefly, had an Alox Cadet II, gifted it to my Dad. It was nice as well and about half as thick with the deletion of the saw blade.

But as I said the majority of the time it is my trusty Demo that catches pocket time. It was a constant companion while I was serving as a 19 Delta and it has a comfort that no other knife has to me. It's sort of the original all metal SAK...lol.

Im torn between the Farmer and the Pioneer Pruner. They are both great knives I think I may need to try a Pioneer Rancher.

Bantam. It's wafer thin and so light that I hardly know I'm carrying it. Also, bottle opener perfect for emegency beer action! Bonus, ultra sheeple friendly and legal to carry here.

The Demo was my first knife---a friend of my dad's, one of my top role models---bought it for me the day I was born. :)
