Probably been discussed before, but time to look into a new axis lock.

Which knife and why?

Thinking about getting a 710 soon...came into a little money again.

420 Resistor.

Handle is like holding a sword in your hand.

Pocket clip is a low rider that is the best of the best on a production folder.

The blade can be Waved and works so smoothly I venture to say its the best Waved knife there is for reduced pocket wear. I sure love mine.

For me it was the 710 until I got my 520 customized:

They're the only two Benchmades I have right now. I really prefer knives with an opening hole, so it's saying something that the 710 and 520 are still in the collection.

I LOVE the 806D2. It feels very solid and the ergos are pretty good. BIG blade blade in D2 steel... what else can I say?

I love the 942 they open and close the easiest to me, tilt it a few degrees less than 90 with the lock back and the blade drops, and opens just as easy, I really do like those knives.

They have been discontinued and are getting hard to find. The 710 has just as big of a blade, actually my 710's blade is maybe even the slightest bit longer, but has a smaller handle than the 806 so it carries much better in the pocket. I love the 710. The Doug Ritter Grip replaced it for my EDC for a few months, but the 710 found it's way back into my pocket again.

Yuppem, same here a 710 is the favorite of my BM's.

This is because of the knife overall and not just the lock.

This would be followed by the 705 an 707 i own aswell.

Deciding between the 707 an 705 is harder to do, for ergo's it would goto the 707, for surviving a plane crash ect, the 705 for its tank like construction, similiar to the 710.

A 710 in say, M2 might be a very long lasting Sharp EDC for you friend.

Welcome to the Axis way.

Haven't bought one yet, but that 921 Switchback sure has my eye. Wish I could find a red one in plain edge, but the blue one sure ain't a slouch!

Definitely my 710. This knife has been through everything with me. Every now and then I get a new knife and carry for a while but always end up coming back to the 710 - for me it's the perfect weight, balance, and blade length.

806 D2 and 720 Pardue (earlier model) both with tip up and DOWN carry capabilities. Ergonomics goes to the 806 D2.
