Anyone have a favorite knife they use as a beater? I'm talking your inexpensive-go-to-knife?

The one you don't mind destroying, clean and sharpen, then put away for the next task?

Mine is an Ontario Spec 102. Fixed blade, G10 handles, drop point. Made in China...

Unfortunately I can't post pics but would love to see what everyone else is using.

This is mine - Pendleton Lite Hunter, albeit slightly less "used" than mine ;)

At $15-ish I can do pretty much whatever I want with it. Prybar, screwdriver, wood splitter, box cutter, you name it and I've done it. It hasn't broken yet, so I'm quite pleased with it.

My beater is a Case Sodbuster Jr. CV.

As a matter of fact, I just used it today to break down some boxes. Then it tried to cut the tip of my pinkie off, when I got careless.

Spyderco Endura four with ghetto zip tie wave.

Been through combat, ranger school and plenty of in betweens. Just a great beater knife and still perfect lock-up.

Blue 4 FFG for me as well. Lost the clip off of it but it rides so well in my slacks. It's gone through thousands of cardboard boxes and is still going strong.

A Gerber Paraframe 1. You bet I don't care what happens to it. The strength is very surprising, but i can't keep it sharp.
Hitting cement with the edge doesnt halp much though. ;)

cold steel recon 1, first cutting task was through a steel belted tire swing. 7 years later still going strong as my yard work knife.

Here's a pic of my favorite "user" I dunno if I'd go as far as to call it a beater or not seeing as I don't abuse it too terribly much, however it does see a steady diet of use and resides in the door panel of my truck door for whatever I can throw at it (mostly lighter cutting tasks).

Buck 119 I've used it to pry lockers open, cut metal banding banding ties, batoned kindling for my fire place and many other horrid things lol.

Spyderco Persistence for me.
The blade is scratched and has a scotch brite treatment.
Has some silly filework on the spine.
A 23 degree edge.
And it cuts with the best. It's my "I don't want to use my EDC for that, let me get the persistence" knife.

I'd have to say my Sebenza. I don't beat it per say, but it is a user of sorts!

CRKT folding Razel. Finally, a blade point I'm not afraid of breaking.

Yeah, I pry on things with it.
