I need help choosing between satin finish or the DLC for my next pm2, or if I want to get a manix. Odds are if I get the satin I'll be stonewashing it. So I guess between stonewash and DLC lol.

I know it is a big no no but I really like the grit blasted Cold Steel blade finish like on the Ti Lites.
I don't have a big rust problem where I live so I have never seen a hint of rust on the CTS-XHP blades.

I also really, really, really like patina on the basic carbon steel blades. Specifically what fresh tomatoes do to the steel. Knid of gun metal blue with an iridescent / rainbow thing going on.

One of my very favorite cutters has stone washed . . . I'm not a big stone washed fan but it is practical I suppose.

From a purely cutting performance stand point (lowest friction) mirror polished seems to have less drag and the DLC coated and the blades with coarse grind marks have the most friction.

I quite like blades with acid etched designs on the blades.

Satin if those are the two options, but that's just me.

Go with what looks best for you, there is no value in having a coated SS blade unless you need to be "stealth" for some reason.

I wound up getting the satin and acid/stonewashing it. It came out great!
