Surprised that I didn't find a thread already dedicated to this topic! Since we are still in the midst of the HOGSANITY that is O2WP2, it got me to thinking about all the offerings from P1 and how they will have been in our greasy, bacon-stained hands for some time now.

With that in mind, it's time to reflect! I want to know what you hogs think was the best thing you scored from Operation 2 Weeks Part 1! Or... what was the one that got away? Or... if you want to talk O2WP2 faves, have at it!

If you need a reminder what all was offered during O2WP1, JTT's Shipping Info thread is of course the best place to go.

For me, tough call... You have the awesomeness of the differently sized Team Gemini's, the ultimate epic CG Battle Saw, the monster that is the CG HUCK, the beautifully utilitarian BG BOSS Jack, and all the 2G Ergo models. These are all absolutely worthy of anyone's "GOAT" list, in my opinion.

After having one, selling it (because "I have plenty in that size") and just recently getting another one back, I have to go with the 2nd Generation Steel Heart Ergo! There is simply no greater 7-8" blade in all Bussedom, heck, all knifedom if you ask me. The handle, the drop point, the thickness, the blade length and the INFI make it one of the most versatile and bomb-proof knives ever. It chops well above its weight class, can be carried without too much hassle, and can certainly do things you would normally do with a smaller knife. Sure, it's not going to be the first thing you'll want to pick up if you're whittling, or if you're looking to chop down a tree, but it's the perfect desert island/camp knife.

So what YOU got, Hogs!?

The BAe of course, the best hiker/mountain knife! The only one i'd like to buy more and more (and wish for a satin option one day)
But unfortunately there's not much of them on the exchange

2nd Gen Steel Heart Ergo for me. That's the one that got me to finally pull the trigger and buy a Busse, and it has been my loyal camping/hiking/backpacking companion ever since. Even with all the awesome new releases I think it's still my favorite. You nailed it, it is the best 7-8" knife ever, incredibly versatile and chops like a beast. The Mean Street Ergo is a close second, as it has been my EDC since I got it. I love the way it fits in my hand, and I've got major regrets about selling off the ram's horn custom shop MSe that I received in a grab bag.

I was a little more sane during O2WP1. I only ordered three models. My battlegrade AK47, BB13 and the MOFO. The AK47 I still have as a ZOMBIE insurance policy and it whacked my pumpkins this year lol. I can't say which is a favorite, because they all are.

The one model that I wished I ordered several of is BG BOSS Jack. Don't know if that says any thing. I love every model I ordered during O2W

Yep, I have only one BG BOSS Jack, but I’d be pleased to own a second one as well. I am a big fan of the BOSS Jack in all of its forms. Definitely a legendary knife.

MSe is my favorite Busse in its size range. Like I said, all the 2G Ergos are amazing. The only one I did not hold on to was the PDe, simply because I am not a tanto guy. Even that was an awesome blade though.

BS all the way, love the BAe2 but not the oddly sized choil. If the BS had a comp option it would have been perfect imho.

You mean kind of like this?

I ordered my first RMD right before Op2Wks kicked off and had no idea what I was in for. Lots of hard decisions as part 1 stretched to impossible and exhausting lengths. Really couldn't be happier with this group though, for me:

I've bought more off the exchange and in part 2, but nothing has really supplanted anything I bought in part 1 yet. I'm sure a big part of that is just having so much in the stable already though.

Having just had them all out together, they're all my favorite.

I gotta get a B13, there's no doubt about that. I'm on the fence with the Jackmandu, though, because I've got a CS R6 with the top guard removed which seems like it's almost identical. Seems like the JMD only has a slight thumb ramp (like the RMD) and a sabre grind compared to the smoother transition to the spine and ffg of the R6.

I cannot say I have one definite OP2WP1 favorite. The ones I bought are the AK47 BG, BB13 CG, WTF BG & SHE2. The revised Ergo handle on the SHE2 is a big improvement over the original Ergo handle. The BB13 & WTF are monster choppers; I originally passed on both of them but got one of each on the exchange. I have always liked the Boss Jack and Satin Jack; a SJ CG was my 2nd Busse knife, in 2002. If I didn't already have INFI versions of the ASH1 & Boss Jack, I would definitely have bought BG versions of these two knives. They're all great knives, with no clear favorite.
