What is tour favorite blade shape/style for every day use? lately I have been carrying a drop point single blade Whitewing trapper which has done a great job. I was carrying a Lightwing which has more of a clip style blade and it also worked well. Along time ago I carried a case knife with a wharncliff blade I really liked that blade. In fact I think that that blade style is probably the best for every day utility use, I just dont have a whitewing for my self with that blade style.

My favorite shap for daily use has to be the drop point followed closely by the clip point. They seem to do just about everything fairly well.

I'm a sucker for a wharncliff blade, can't get past them much! Just traded with Jake Evans, thanks again Jake, for a William Henry Evolution wharncliff blade, plain edge VG10, very sharp and handy knife.

Of course Chris I like the WhiteWing Warlock a lot as well!

Chris, if you really want a wharncliff blade by WhiteWing forsale if you want it, slipjoint and nice narly stag, you know the one?

I'm a huge drop point fan. Next to the DP, the "semi-skinner" shape on Loveless knives looks like a great user. (Alas, I've never actually used one). The closest thing I've found would be the Wegner blade, which is outstanding.

My prefered blade shapes are drop point and recurve. Both, but in particular the recurve because they cut so darn well.

For folders: Specifically, SOG's bowie shaped drop point as on the Tomcat, Stingray, and Magnadot.

I wish SOG would make a VISION with the same blade shape.

I also like some of the MOD blade shapes such as the Trident.

LEAST LIKED on a folder: Most bastardized traditional tanto shapes. I like tanto blades on tantos. However, I do like neo-tanto designs like on the CRKT M-16, and SOG VISION (still wish they would make a bowie style version though).

Long clip points are my favorite. Then most other clip points and drop points are good too. I can't stand tanto blades at all.

I prefer a clip point, hands down. It is very handy to have a narrow point that can slip into a small opening and then be levered edgewise to cut through the opening perimeter. This came to mind recently when I had some rabbits to clean and the tip of my drop point hunting knife wouldn't start into rabbits' pelvic openings. Even my SAK blade was not as pointy as I would like. What I wished I had was a Buck 110 with its clip point blade. That blade shape could handle rabbits to elk. I could also slip it under a nylon cable tie and safely lever it up to cut the band.

So I'm not the only one to feel as though the Buck 110 is truly the perfect knife?

Factor in cost, utility, design, durability, reliability, function and overall value, nothing beats the Buck 110!

When you figure Buck's A+ customer service ... it's almost like a no brainer.
