I was having a discussion with a fellow member here about a couple discontinued knives, and I decided I want to hear from anyone who wishes to comment on such a thing. What is your favorite discontinued knife? Any changes?
Let me mention the Gerber BMF. Awesome knife. But I would definately say it would have to have a smaller handle diameter, and maybe a better handle material.

It's all about perspective.

It would appear that the Steelerfan is back to haunt me. Sorry I have to perform the mandatory Anti-Steeler mantra: GO BROWNS!!!

It would have to be the Benchmade 975 Emerson Series, and the 875 Sentinal Series. Two great knives, shame to see them go......

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

Hey Ed! I see you did post this thread after all. I'll probably have to third that 875 Sentinel nomination, I'd been drooling over that knife for about a year and a half and now I've got one! Finally! It was a shame to see it go, though, I think it's got much more class than the new Darkstar series and I feel it would've benefitted from a different (smaller) blade size/version. Besides the Sentinel, I think I'll mention the REKAT neck knives (Fang and UNK) and are they still making the AFCK? Finally, who can forget the old Benchmade balisongs (but they're coming back now, right?).

A Pacific Cutlery or Benchmade 5 inch ivory handled custom bali-song, with a Wee Hawk tanto blade by Jody Samson.

Do you guys know why the sentinal went? I heard that BM received a lot of complaints that the corners were too sharp. My dealer said someone had it wear a hole in his pocket.

BTW I like the darkstar better (but that doesn't mean I know anything)

Buck 639.

Tough, affordable, great shape and feature for a hunting/camping knife and very useful and comfortable handle. Have a well used one and would hate to try and replace it at even double the original price.

Third vote for Wegner, Jr.

Hi Guys -
These all sound like winners to me - But I miss the old case 6111 1/2 L Cheeta .. that did a lot of work for me and was easy to carry! I kind of miss the Marbles Skinner I used to have too. then there's the KaBar U.S.M.C. - the REAL ONE - Sempter Fi!

Jonesy!

The Gerber Parabellum. A butt-ugly knife, but a user. Wish I would have bought a spare when I had the chance.

The Pacific Cutlery Jody Samson Boot Knife. Luckily I found one the other week here at the forum. A beautiful piece with black micarta pinned handle slabs, and a weehawk-ground AUS 8 stainless blade with finger cutouts and thumb ridges. I lust to carry it, but collectors' self control gets the better of me.
