Favorite EDC steels?

I love getting the opinions of people who have been in the knife game a lot longer than I have, so I wanted to start a thread regarding preferred steels for everyday carry. My personal favorite for day to day tasks is 154CM, because I can get a very fine edge on it and I don't have to worry about maintenance very much. However when it's a knife I know I'm going to beat on, I will take an AUS 8 or 8CR13MOV. For instance, a benchmade 940 is a great edc, but a recon 1 is a fantastic beater knife.

I know there are super steels for a reason (i.e. D2, ZDP-189, BG42) so I was curious what everyone enjoys using.

I like S30V. Hold an edge for a while. It might not be a razor edge, but it will cut, and cut and...

D2, M390, S30V/S35V, and last but certainly not least...good ol' 1095.
M390 would have to be my favorite.

CTS-XHP is probably my favorite for use, as it offers excellent edge retention but it still easy to touch up. M390 comes in second because it just takes so long to dull. D2/CPM D2 is third, I know people complain that it's difficult to sharpen, but I find it fairly easy to get a working edge. VG-10 comes in at #4 for just being a solid all around performer and AUS-8 rounds out my top five for being a humble and cost effective steel that still offers great performance characteristics for me. I don't, personally, EDC fixed blades or the list would change quite a bit.

I like Aus-8 and 8cr13Mov,they can take a really sharp edge and I am not afraid to thump on them for how easy they sharpen.

my top 2 are VG-10 for it's blistering initial sharpness and M390 for a great edge and the ability to hold it.

Most of mine are ATS-34. I've had them a while.
Might not be the latest or greatest, but it works well for me.
My most exotic folder is S30V.
I haven't tried any of the more exotic super steels.

My large choppers are 1075.
