k. What is your favorite emerson knife, custom or production, defensive or edc, etc. Just curious

The CQC6 - classic design, never leave home without one....

Regards,

Ed

Production Folder - '98 Satin Commander
Custom Folder - Tossup between ES1-M and CQC8, both Satin finished

Production Fixed Blade - La Griffe
Custom Fixed Blade - Mirage, Black with Green Micarta scales

Favorite Overall Emerson - I have to fall back on the '98 Satin Commander. It just does it for me. :D

My Favorites??
Production I have to say SOCFK and Commander
Custom Folder I really like the design of the CQC-9
Custom Fixed Blade I really haven't had a chance to handle any fixed blades out here, but I do like my Phaser,
Heck I like them all!!!!!

The CQC6 in my opinion is the Signature piece of Emerson.

My utmost favourites :

Production folder- '98 satin Commander (without a doubt)

Custom folder- 1996 CQC6 pre-date and CQC8 for its ergonomics(double V, waved) but I love the CQC7 and CQC9 as well.

Custom fixed blade- Rogue Warrior CF-10 pre-date(even better would be black oxide Warrior w/ sculpted black micarta handles) and the pre-date Persian

Best overall and my most favourite- '98 satin Commander (for best balance of pricing, ergonomics, user friendliness and sheer ingeniousness of the 'Wave' when is was introduced plus best production folder IMHO

:D

Custom Folder - CQC8 (with wave of course)
Custom Fixed - Tactical Persian
Production Folder - SOCFKBBTS
Production Fixed - La Griffe

Boy, what a tough question to answer.

production: 98 Commander

custom: toss up between CQC6 and CQC8. I love them both.

The Uber commander the was made by Neil Blackwood. Titanium Integral Lock. Blackwood made the Frame around the commander's blade. I think onely 1 or 2 are around.

I will get one of them some day.

Now, some people get customised scales, others get bolsters or satin finished blades. Going whole hog for a TI frame is really showing your intrest.

Although I agree that the CQC-6 is the classic Emerson, my absolute favorite has to be the CQC-8. Add a Wave to it, and I'll be in Knifenut Heaven! :D

My current favorite is the 2000 Plain edge Commander.

A close second is the Mach-1.

I think I figured out why EKI doesn't wave the Mach-1...it would unseat the current king of the [production] EKI lineup; the Commander.

Custom Production CQC7- Ti Bolsters--Green Linen Micarta Scales--Satin blade finish.
Custom--CQC6

This is a tough question to answer!

I would have to chose from one of several Pre-tacs that I own. Out of all 6 of them I probably like this one best of all. It's got it all.

Small size, Halfmoon logo, Filework on spine, bolsters, Liners, Color that jumps out at you. - Everything!
