Favorite flat ground high end 3 inch ish folder?

Hey guys, I finally figured out that all of my favorite knives have been flat ground. I have a Spyderco dice, but it is a tiny bit too small for me - I have a para 3 which I love - I have a small 21, but simply gave up on it as I don't like the hollow grind - I used to love my SOG flash one before I got into higher-end knives and gave it to a friend.
So what do you guys suggest that I get next? I'd be willing to spend up to $300. Looking forward to hearing your ideas - thanks in advance!

Its not really "high end", but I love my Manix 2. The ergo's are perfect, the fit and finish is stunning, and that ffg blade is razor sharp. I have lots of knives, but I keep coming back to the Manix 2.

As much as I appreciate your replies - I should have mentioned that I'm looking for something to beat my para 3 (fit, finish, and more sturdy)... so I guess I really am looking for high-end! Just not $500 high-end.. LOL

I don't know if I'd consider it "high end", but the ZT 0770cf is one of my favourite knives in that size range. If you want something sturdier, then the 0350 might fit the bill. Bot have 3.25" blades.

The Spyderco Sage (whichever model you prefer) is another good option.

Fox has some very pretty folders within your budget, too.

Weird coincidence - I was just checking out the sage 3. What's up with that bolt action lock? Do people like it? I'm going to check out that ZT right now.

I can’t get away from my Delica in ZDP189. How about that or a HAP40 blade with some aftermarket scales?

So far that zt is winning! Now - if I move forward with that - not sure which Steel - s35vn or elmax?? Please advise!

I’ve had both steels from ZT and I honestly couldn’t tell much difference in my experience.

Still, I think I’d be happier with “Elmax“ stamped on the blade. I’d also be happier without assisted opening…

The Native 5 is one of my favorite 3" FFG knives. Comes in many flavors from mild to wild. I'm partial to the fluted titanium, but there is also a fluted CF with S90V blade and a fluted CF anniversary model with Damasteel blade.

The 0770 is a great EDC knife but it's assisted opening - not typically synonymous with high end. Very thin and light in the pocket and Elmax would be my choice. Had that exact knife for several years and enjoyed it, closing it is a two-handed or against-the-leg operation. The new 0609 is also worth a look for a few dollars more in 20CV.

If you're asking for a personal favorite "high end" flat ground knife in the $300 range with just over a 3" blade - the Reate Wave. New will cost you around $75 above your limit but they can be had on the secondary market close to your target price. Amazing knife.

You can remove the AO spring from the 0770 easily. And it flips nicely.

I'd vote for Elmax over S35Vn although both steels perform just fine.

I like that lock. It's easy to use and you don't see it often, that's a plus for me (I like to have variety in my collection).

Oh man. I think the Native 5 fluted titanium is the answer!

I had the small ZT Hinderer awhile back...0566 I think. I deassisted it and it flipped ok. It always nagged at my OCD that it was designed to be assisted. I don't have any experience with the ZT in question in this thread, but I would bet that Native will slice like you're enjoying with your Para 3.

Benchmade Saibu ~$215 looks sweet think you’d be all over it. 20CV based off a custom which it looks very much like. I love the way it looks just not in to that size of knives much mostly because I carry a traditional on me

A few good options mentioned. If you like the para, I would consider the aftermarket scale option for it or something else. I’ve got a set of g10it, (Suingab) scales for my Delica and it brings it up to a whole new level! Other than that, a Taichung Spydie might be what you’re after, the F&F on them is just fantastic.

If you liked both the dice (aside from it's size) and you like the PM3, I have to imagine you will love the new mantra 3 whenever it gets released. It looks a lot like the PM3, but with a flipper and a thinner blade (like the dice), plus a wire clip. I'd also recommend checking out some benchmades, although there aren't any specific ones that jump to mind.
