Favorite Handle Material for Tactical Folders?

It's been done before but, heck, I'm bored. I'll even make the poll so you can choose multiple options.

I voted for the first three! :D

If you're not a paying member, just reply with your answer and then go buy a Gold membership so you never have to feel left out again. :p ;)

G-10.

I thought you were posting a poll?

EDIT: never mind. It didn't show the poll at first.

Ya mean to say that there ARE other handle/scale materials other than G-10?...(For ME, G-10 is IT.).

Sooooo,
you probably think that the G10 Spyderco Police I've got coming in the mail was a GOOD choice? ;)

NO, you can't have it! :)

I would say that I prefer G-10/Micarta/CF, but right now all 4 in my EDC rotation are Ti handles.... So I picked all 4 :D

I prefer textured G10. Aluminum is OK too. I find Zytel a bit slippery, with the exception of the CRKT Desert Cruiser's eggshell style grip design. (That is an awesome grip.)

I would hesitate to rely on them for "tactical" purposes, but I also like the Smith and Wesson Swat grips - aluminum with rubber inserts. I don't know why more companies don't use rubber inserts.

I'd like to mention that this particular grip texturing was developed by Rob Simonich, who called the style "Gunner Grip".

Why CRKT never credited Rob, I don't know. I hope his estate is receiving royalties.

I like it much too. It's better in G10, where it's even less slippery. The only downside to the Gunner Grip (in Zytel at least) is that when it's wet and you hold onto it, it makes funny fish bubble burbling noises. ;)

Back on track... give me G10 or Micarta. Anything nice and synthetic, and resistant to as many chemicals and conditions as possible. I prefer Micarta for the feel, but don't like how it absorbs sweat and flammable liquids.

First: G-10

Second: MIcarta

Third: Titanium ('cause it's so light)

Fourth: Jigged bone (cause it looks and feels nice)

Fourth: Steel IF it's slotted or drilled to provide better grip and make it lighter

Fifth: Zytel/FRN
