If everyone on here had to pick one of their khukris as their absolute favorite which one would it be and why

Love my 15" BAS for it's multi purpose usage between chopper and fighter. Wicked fast, and a decent chopper, I have better choppers for sure, but the BAS can also do it, if I need it to, in a needed situation. I bring it camping, backpacking, vacationing, etc..., it's never let me down. I usually bring other blades as well, but my BAS is always one of them.

Thats a tough call... I love my bonecutter but it only gets called in for really heavy use. Favorite all around kukri??? my 16.5" 23oz WWII by Kumar. Heavy enough for hard work but light enough not to tire you out.

Trisuli Ghaul for me. Just sings.

yeah really difficult choice...

have to go with the trusty sirupati-- light enough to be a brush blade, strong enough to be a chopper, elegant enough to be a fighter.

if I had to choose one on looks alone would be the YCS

also +1 bawanna, I consider the one I have to be one of the finest examples in the collection of a raj kumar and a well balanced all round blade

Rajkumar Manakamana.

But so many to choose from, each with their own special attraction! How can one choose?

I own nearly a hundred different blades of all types, shapes, and sizes. The couple I now have from himalayan imports have just astounded me. Especially when you consider that they are handmade they stand head and shoulder above the rest. They almost seem alive when you hold them

They almost seem alive when you hold them

That isn't the first comment most of us have heard from new HI khukuri owners, and it is also a comment that alot of us firmly believe in as well. Each blade has a "soul" imparted to it from the kami/kamis who produced it.

currently only have 2 kukri's deradune and bvcak... have two klvuk's coming in hopefully today. though only get to keep one as the other is supposed to be a gift. #'s 1, and 3 from the 8/20. Id currently say I love the bvcak but its the newest I have at hand so... ill say the next one is always my favorite. silly people on this forum addicting me to new knives all the time. Im going to just stop buying soon and focus on making or the gf will kill me.

Nice thing about gf's is if they get tired of you spending all your money on good stuff like knives and guns you can get ya a new one.

Wives are forever..............................................29 years yesterday for me and counting. She had to work and I working on pistol grips, quite the celebration.

Good luck brother! Your saying you have a cure for HIKV?:D We need to talk! ...or do we? I kinda like being sick:cool:

Hmm? Fave blade.
I have to say as far as use goes there are three that get the most use..maybe four.
25" Siru-brush clearing
20" AK -chopper
KLVUK- general pack knife
Bawanna Bowie (Micro AKB)-EDDC

There are a few new ones I have that will likely crawl to the top but they are still shiny at the moment. Thamar Yek Chirra, and Kumar CAK.
End of the world and I had to scratch something up id probably grab my Yuvraj YCS and all other Yuvraj blades (Katana and Bowie).
Oh my favorite is.... Urrrrrg. hold on...Boss is coming.

Happy belated Anyversary Bawanna! Meant to wish yesterday but grandkidz kept me distracted. Hope ya had a great one!

lmao shes been around for 5 years now so I guess the commitment is just unspoken at this point. She really is tolerant of my shopping sprees so long as they don't come too often. Got in my new klvuk's today and think #3 is for me. it tapers more at the tip than #1 and feels good to me. besides I have other great chopper kukris with more forward weight balance, and my stepdad could use a good one to start with. This one feels lively in hand to me. hopefully post pics soon.

I try not to play favorites. I treat them all equally so I don't hurt ones feelings...

+1 on that Cul. Definitely feeling like monday. Only redeemable thing about this day will be having a triange box waved at me by a pretty lady when I get home:D Just hope its still in the box while shes waving it.

Ok everybody should be better now. I put the pins away, sorry about the pin in the backside Mr. Cull is was what we like to call collateral damage in the voodoo business.

And Ndog "just steel" you had it coming dude. You know better than that.

My monday is rather blah, not bad, not great.
The highlight is I should have Mr. Moparsbob's little bowie in my mailbox for a little makeover or a big makeover depending on what we see.
I'm kind of jazzed about it if I do say so my own self. With Sir Gehazi's in the box where I can't play with em no more, it'll be nice to have a new playmate.

don't worry m'lord, won't be long till another box shows up with items to trade for your efforts
