I have looked at many knife books and while I did buy one of the latest full color knives books, most of them I don't really like. However my GF dragged me to the local library and I found a book called tactical knives by Dietmar Pohl. It is a Krause publication. With 191 full color glossy pages. On page 111 they have a Basic #7 in the line up. The book overall is very nice. Includes: Microtech knives, Lile knives, Chris Reeve knives, Randall knives, Mission Knives, Emerson knives, all the way to Cold steel. And a ton in between. Anyway it's worth a look at IMHO. I think it was published in 2003 for U.S 2001 in Germany.

I bought that book on closeout for $5.99. It`s actually pretty good. I did not catch the Busse until the second time I looked through it. :o

Wow, where did you find the book?
It is labeled for 24.99, I would like a copy of my own. Thanks.

They have stores around here called "Bargain Books", full of books on tables for closeout prices. I`ve bought Knife Digests a couple years old for $2.99. If you like, next weekend I can go back to see if they have any left, although it was about 2 months ago I got mine.

I will check out the clearance racks around my neck of the woods. I would like to take you up on the offer, but I would end up spending about as much on the book at retail, as I would if I got a copy from you as I wouldn't feel right not compensating you for your time and of course shipping.

I got my copy on the last day of the blade show in 2006, they always discount the books at the entrance of the show to at least 1/2 price on the last day of the show! I paid $10.00 for mine!
