What is your favorite knife model name and why? Doesn't have to be a "quality" knife to qualify... can just be a cool name, but preferably: cool name + decent knife

Personally, I would probably go with CRK's Sebenza. Has a classy sound to it and literally means "work", which is the intention of the tool. That thing was built to be put to work. Doesn't hurt that it is also a great knife :D

Stockman,
Sunfish (AKA: "Whaler"; "Elephant Toenail"; "Pocket Axe"; "British Rope Knife"; "Pocket Spatula" ...)
Canoe
Coke Bottle (For some reason I've never heard them referred to as a "Pepsi Bottle")
Sheepsfoot
Lambsfoot
They are all a good practical work knife.

Mother Pheasant Plucker.
Actually Mule, because it's a pretty good description of how I use some knives.
FWIW, I also like the band Govt Mule.

Any knife by ZT!

Ok, just kidding. Honestly though, I think Kershaw has done a good job naming their new releases. With a score or more new knives per year, they seem to keep coming up with new, original names that have some relevance to the knife that carries the name. I don't know if I have a favorite among the lot but they're sure a lot easier to swallow than "Broken Skull".

My favorite knife name however is "Sebenza". Rolls off the tongue like butter and makes me feel like I know a language other than English :p.

I like these because they sound so classy and project how we (the knife afi community) want to be perceived by the non-knife public :(

1. Medford SUK
2. Medford FUK
3. Medford Smooth Criminal
4. CRKT GSD (Get **** Done)
5. Buck Hood Thug
6. TOPS Taliban Take Down

Nailed it. One could go an all day with names like that. But they wouldn't name them like that if people didn't buy them. :(

Patriot for national pride, and in honor of the men and women who defend our nation. Also like the maverick Scout, because it sounds like someone who is wild and independent and Scout who goes forward to explore. Lastly, Sandbox Bowie, meant for soldiering in arid climates.

That said, to keep it positive...I love the Norse mythological names in the Fallkniven NL series: Thor, Odin, Njord, Frej, Idun...appropriate for knives made in Sweden, and awesome without being "tacti-spec-ops-ninja."

not big on names. prefer number and letter setups.

i do though always like "apache." crkt made one and emerson used it as well. i like both of those knives. sure there are others. native american badarse. being a florida boy, "seminole" always is a name i like. used a lot round here...not sure anyone in knife making has used it though.
