I saw this subject a while ago but lost track of where. I thought I'd revive it. It is so hard to pick an absolute favorite. Here's two. They are a Timberline Custom Shop Bob Lum 7.5" Tanto with a highly customized Browning High Power and a Bob Terzuola Battlemate with a HK USP40.

well I shoot my sig better but the Glock 36 is a great little gun (especially with a Pearce grip extender)

OK, I can finally chime in on one of these!

Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Micro compact .45 ACP & Blackwood Neck Ninja HD.

Michael,

Great looking gun, but it's got to kick like a mule with quick triple shots.

Have you thought about checkering the front strap?

Are they Nowack night sites ?

Yeah on the sights -- more info here at the very bottom.

I had decided I was going to stick with 9mm, but the little philipino gal who sold me this said it's EXACTLY the same gun she carries.

I have no idea what to expect for noise / recoil. I shot the M9 at the range in the Air Force (mobile unit, so we had the same firearms requirements as the MP's) frequently, and lots of .22 pistols. Other than that I've always had rifles.

Everyone seems to RAVE about .45, and I really like the feel and styling of the 1911. Always have.

Here's the SoB holster I bought with it.

Mike,

A little philipino gal will tell you anything. ;)

If it had a checked front strap and ambidextrous safety it would be perfect; next to my Glock 19. :)

It does have an ambi safety.

I looked at some Glocks, but not sure which models. I have small hands and the extra-slim grips on this model really seem to suit me.

I'm hoping to take it up to the range tomorrow.

Mike,

Let us know how it groups with double and trip taps two handed and single handed at about 15 feet (the length of a room)

I just realized this Galco SOB218 holster they sold me is for the Colt Officers model / Springfield Ultra Compact.

This is the Micro Compact!

Seems to fit OK, but the holster is at least an 1" longer than it needs to be.

(3" barrel -vs- 4" barrel).
