Where are your favorite knife stores. I would have to say that mine is the Randall shop in Orlando, FL. Also Midwest Cutlery in Salina,KS

The mecca of all the stores has got to be Smoky Mountain Knife Works in Tenn. Ive seen lots of knife stores but this one has a store and a museum all in one.

SMKW doesnt have it all, no custom knives to speak of (that you can buy anyway), and not the full line of Cold Steel, Spyderco or many of the other brands. What they do have is a very nice three story hunting lodge with all the trophys of various animals on every wall all along with knife collector pieces.

I'm sure that during its opening it has done a great deal of helping promote the knife collecting hobby. I go 2-3 times a year and I get a kick just watching the people who have just walked in for the first time, many taking lots of pictures.

Northwest Knives and Collectibles in Salem, Oregon. If you're every within 100 miles, make the trip. Ask for a tour of the upstairs gallery. Bring your wallet.

George and Son Cutlery in Downtown Portland. It's a family store that has been there for over a hundered years. You can easily spend an enjoyable hour or two just chatting with Mr. George. BTW, Carl George is probably the best knife sharpener in the world. People send knives from all over the world for him to sharpen.
