Favorite Knife Writers?

Bill Bagwell he used to do the knife articles for soldier of fortune. He pissed everybody off but he new his stuff and it made for good reading

Donald Hamliton, fiction wise , Dan Schectman and sometimes Steven Dick, but I feel he snipes at forums like this one,at times. Otherwise they both have sensible advice

I think Chuck Karwan is not bad. His engineering perspective comes in handy, but I'm not that interested in autos, and his column is 'Make mine Auto.' Ed Fowler is insightful. I greatly enjoyed of couple of pieces that maker Dan Farr did for Blade recently. I like Steve Dick too, his aformentioned pokes at forums notwithstanding.

For me there is no current knife-writer who truly stands out. None of them are very gifted as writers. There is an opportunity for some unknown person who loves knives and can write. Such a person could take the knife writing world by storm.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

I don't read magazines. I read here.
I look for posts by Esav Benyamin, STR, thombrogan, mete, Sal Glessar, A G Russel, tirod3, Bear Claw Chis Lappe, Thomas W, gunmike1, db, hardheart, and a host of others I don't remember at the moment. These are folks who know their stuff. Great fun.

Note:
A G Russel is THE A G Russel as in AG Russel Knives
Sal Glessar is THE Sal Glessar, founder of Spyderco
Thomas W is THE Thomas of Kershaw.

And they all post here. It doesn't get better than that.
