I just ordered my first Kopa, a 3 way pearl. I'd noticed then before and never bought any because they were fairly expense for a small knife. (I like the bigger for the big money) Anyway saw the 3way for only 90 bucks shipped and had to get one. Now they all look so good. :o
Which is the fave of the people that own more than one, or even just admired them, like I have and don't own many or any yet?

Congrats on your three flavors Kopa. I like mine and think, that it is beautiful. IMHO, it is beautiful display piece and if you need Kopa to carry, I would grab CF, you can find them at quite affordable price as well.
My favorite Kopa is Cocobolo, it was my first Kopa and it is the knife, which brought me to Spyderco. I was lucky to buy two of them, while prices were moderate, so I have one to carry and one for my display case. But IMHO most beautiful and stunning is Turquoise, with GMOP been close second.

I had the CF version, but sold it as soon as I got it. Something about the blade shape turned me off when I looked at the knife in my hand. It's to bad, I was really hoping to like the smaller knife. Now I have my eyes on a few of the custom Kiwi's I've seen online.

Have all sixteen. As for a favorite, I'm torn between these two, both "de-clipped" for me by STR...

Paul, I really like that coco Kopa. That would get my vote for best looking.

My favorite, if I owned one, would be the tiger coral. I don't own any because the clip bugs me. I'll take a tiger coral kiwi please. Anyone listening? :D

The Kopa is a really great small knife. I think you'll be impressed with it. So far I only own one, a turquoise. I'd definitely buy more.

My favorite Kopa, ever since hearing that there would be one is the turquoise model. Too bad they are so fragile. Mine is a second with a crack on each side that was factory super-glued back together. Nature of the material. It's great for looking at but carry is totally out of the question. I've always loved turq and silver. A lot of folks consider it "cheap" looking because it is often associated with the junk jewelry stands on reservations. But I've always been mesmorized by the stuff.

I love the looks of this knife...didn't grab my attention until I got my 2 CF Kiwis..but since then the Kopa has been looking better and better...I would like to get the CF one to match my kiwis.

Prices for these knives on eBay or SUPER low right now. $80-90 shipped!!! Go get some or 3 or 7 lol

The CF Kopa, alongside an Endura 4 for size comparison. Since about 1/2" of the blade length is for finger support the blade seems even shorter.

Of course the fit and finish are top notch, but could an upsized Kopa be in the future? A blade around 3" would be awesome.

Just picked up a 3 stripe pearl/abalone, nice little knife. Had been looking at Kopas for a while and this was the one I picked. Have not carried it much but have noticed the clip tends to get some negative press. What is the issue with the clip?

Some people feel that it's unnecessary on a knife this small, and it detracts from the aesthetic appeal of the knife.

Also, I have seen a few posts about the knife being lost due to the clip not holding securely enough.

These are quibbles on an otherwise good little knife. My only quibble with it is it's a wee bit on the small side.

I've stated this opinion before and others have disagreed, but I still think the Caly 3 is the upsized Kopa... unofficially and unintended, of course. Yeah, the handle is rounder on the Kopa, but the blade shape, body lines, and locking mechanism are all close enough.

And I personally prefer the more plain models: black micarta and black CF.

There's always the option of acquiring a pair of tiger coral scales and having Santa Fe Stoneworks customize a Kiwi ror you.

Several issues. The most universal would be its inappropriateness on a bolster and scales "gent's knife". That would be pretty much of a non-issue if the clip could be removed without disfiguring the knfe, but it cannot. The Kopa's bolsters are curved, not flat, so they had to choose between milling a recess in the bolster to accept a stamped clip, or machining a clip out of bar stock with a saddle to fit the bolster. I imagine "plan A" was less expensive.

For left handed users, there's the additional issue of a the clip being on the wrong side.

I've made the same comment myself.

Well I only own one Kopa so I'll have to say that it's my favorite. Abalone and Pearl. A beautiful gentleman's knife. Gorgeous Abalone.
