I've normally kept to 3 inch and below blades, but the last six months knives like the Bump and now the Gravitator have really grown on me, and I'm thinking about buying yet another large knife. Some examples of the knives are the offset, the ZT line, the Bump line, 710, Rukus, Manix, Chinook, Sere2k, etc etc.

I have the AO Aftermath from Camillus and when I want to carry a BIG folder then this one sure fits the bill and it is not all that uncomfortable to carry in a front pants pocket.

Ciao
Ron:rolleyes:

Mine would have to be the Spec Bump. The ZT0400 would be my EDC if I weren't around so many customers every day. Most of my customers like my Leeks, but the 0400 might make some uneasy.

I like large folders, not just because I'm a big guy, but also because I feel they offer me more utility and flexibility as far as usage is concerned.

Mine are the ZT 0301 and the Strider GB.

I've stabbed both of mine into some aged bamboo I have around the house, not to abuse them, but just to see if I can do it.

Both have held up so far.

Manix all the way...if you havent handled one yet you should...it feels perfect in my hand.

Benchmade Skirmish!
More than compensates for anything that might be too small on you. Guaranteed. :D

The Manix is great, I've handled one and it feels very natural, it just feels like part of your hand.

S30V, lockback, and good (for me) blade profile that is really scary sharp.

I haven't had much experience with it other than handling it at the store, but I'm sure it will serve well.

Amusingly though, I still went with my other choices because the Manix felt "small" to me. LOL:D

I think at this time my favorite large production folder is the Zero Tolerance 400. Which surprises the heck out of me. In fact I've been carrying that 0400 more and more and I don't even like tanto blades. Its just the perfect size and weight in a bigger more robust or full size folder. I got that one with serrations so it has the great Kershaw serration pattern and lots of plain edge too being the design it is. The S30V steel and beefy make up of the lock are also a great plus. I love the 301 and the 200 but the 400 has them beat for being able to be carried unnoticed due to the weight difference. I'd love to see this model available in a blade similar to the 0200. Now that would be the winner for me I think.

Benchmade 805 TSEK.
Benchmade 630 Skirmish.

...My 2 favorite large folders.

This week I had the chance to play with the large Ontario Hossom Retribution, now that's a folder! My SMF was so tiny compared to her:)

I like the Kershaw 1610 XXL Starkey Ridge. ATS-34 blade, titanium liners, G-10 scales. They're discontinued, but you still see them around once in a while.

Gunhammer, Sebenza, Military, Sifu, Manix....man there's a bunch more but those i carry the most.
