What are your favorite neckers? I have seen them thrown into other groupings like best EDC and the like.

I am really interested in finding out what people think makes one better than the other.

I have seen and handled the Folts Milimalist, which was suprising. I owned a Bear Claw, but lost it to a very bad sheath design.

What other brands/makers do you like?

I've owned the following Neckers: Becker Necker (both the Camillus and Kabar versions), RAT Izula, Camillus Arc Lite, CRKT Dogfish, CRKT Folts Minimalist, CRKT Ritter Mk5, Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter, Cold Steel Cird & Trout, Cold Steel Spike (Talon point), and more that I can't even remember.

Of all them, the RAT Izula is the best one I've owned. It came pretty sharp right out of the box and is made of great (in my opinion) steel. The sheath is nice and the price tag is less than a lot of other advertised heavy-duty neckers.

I'll be honest, I haven't handled any other neckers but I can't imagine there's one better than the Izula for the price. Especially when RAT's warranty ensures I have a knife for life.

My personal favorite neck knife, is my Todd Begg Tree Frog. It is so light, but sharp and useful. I love the little thing.

I love the way that sheath is shaped. It fits well with the lines of the knife.

I actually own two Murray Carter Neck knives, and they're pretty amazing knives. You know that it's there, but it's still very light, and the quality is top notch. If you have an opportunity to purchase one, jump on it. You won't regret it.

Have you used this knife pretty extensively? How is the knife holding up with that hard Japanese steel?

Beautiful knife.

I have used it pretty tough. First of all, to even be sent out, Mr Carter tests his knives to the standard of the American Bladesmithing Society. Each knife must be able to cut a inch thick length of rope, baton a 2x4, all while retaining its' edge. It stands up to damage, but it also touches up flawlessly, it's as though the knife just wants to be sharp.

This is what I'm waiting for in the mail now.

I recently Picked up a benchmade 210TK up from another forum member and love this little blade, its my first Neck knife and its made me consider buying another type, I never realised how versatile a little neck knife really is until I actually picked one up and EDC for about a week...

Swamp Warden for me. It's like the Izula, but better. Roomier, comfier handle, better blade steel and a bit more robust overall.

For a knife that comes with a sheath and is readily available for less than 50$ shipped though I don't think the Izula can be beat.

I also like the Spyderco Swick...a lot. Discontinued though and you have to buy your own sheath. Worth it though. Like the TB that TKC posted it has a very sharp, useful straight edge.

Benchmade 210 and Becker Necker both look nice, but judging from pictures and videos they'd be 3 finger knives for me.

Here's my Warden

FYI I don't carry any as neck knives. Hate having stuff around my neck.

didn't we just talk about this subject yesterday?....oh well...

I have this one that is made by mykulmorris here on the forum, made from a chunk of Nicholson file it carries very nicely and is easy to access and resheath.

Then there is this one...my favorite necker to wear when attack by pizza is imminent.

I tend to prefer knives with finger holes on my "neck" knives. My 3 favorites are:
HAK (HideAwayKnife): My favorite, but unfortunately, the company doesn't have the greatest customer svc.

Emerson La Griffe: A classic.

Spyderco Swick: A little bigger than the other 2, but still very nice.

For a more traditional style of small FBs, I like the Izula, but BM's 210/211 is nice & my Todd Begg Kiradashi isn't bad, either.

Mykulmorris makes some very nice & very reasonably priced small knives with some innovative sheaths.

Here's a pic of my Bark River Bravo necker:

stainless steel, full convex blade, polished cutting surface, comes in a multitude of colors, has optional handle scales, and the sheath holds a fire steel.

I also like the Becker Necker BK-11 for the money, and you can get an optional belt clip for it.

No offense intended, but what happened yesterday is that Hoopster brought up a thread that ended in 2008, which is the one you posted to, as well as a few others.

These neckers are great thanks for all the replys. Keep it up, I need data to make up my mind. I dig that little Morris. And the BRK, and the Izula, and the...

Buck Hartsook-locks good in the sheath and s30v steel. Gonna pick up a Kaala though cause its bigger.
