I know this is the Emerson forums, but I'd like to pose these questions:
1. What is your favorite Emerson folder?
2. What is your favorite Non-Emerson tactical folder?
3. Is there another brand of knives that ranks second to Emerson? ie. BM, Spyderco, MT.....?

My answers are:

1. SOCFK, tanto
2. BM Stryker, Spyderco Native
3. BM and Spyderco tied.

I didn't really answer the question...I just like Emersons. I showed some control though. I didn't mention my special favorites, the pre-Tacticals.

1. CQC 5

2. Chris Reeve NICA tanto

3. Chris Reeve Knives. Since Emerson is not very left hand friendly and I am a lefty, it leaves me mostly out of the market for Emersons. Call me crazy, stupid, ignorant or whatever you Emerson fans want to call me but I think that CRK makes knives are at least equal if not better than anything that Emerson makes. Granted, Emerson targets the police/military market and CRK can't claim custom status, but they will make any model left handed. IMHO BG42 is a superior steel and the intergral lock beats a liner lock any day.
