Favorite Non-Mainstream EDC Folder

Everyone loves the Mini-Grip, Manix and Skyline. I own them all and love them equally; just like I love my children.

My personal favorite is the Al Mar Mini SERE 2000...for many reasons: The G10 is perfect, the lines are straight and remind me (for some odd reason) of the BMW E39, the action is ultra-smooth...and on and on. If I had to guess, I'll probably have several of these guys in their different iterations before I check out.

Now, I classify the AM MS2K as non-mainstream since I can't just walk into pretty much any knife joint and buy one. There might be differences of opinion on this point but to me, its a minor quibble. If you consider it out of the knife mainstream, that's okay! Post away!

I am interested to read what your favorite non-mainstream EDC folder is (or are if you have more than one) and why!

Please post pics if possible!

Love my Marty Young Model 3

My Dalibor Regulus. Hard to pick a favorite made by him but I love the fact that it functions seamlessly, is like holding and using a fixed blade and feels and looks as though it was forged by a blacksmith.

hogue ex-01 blue/black g-mascus handle-this knife is crazy cool,mine are so smooth

I always thought that the Douk Douk was a pretty cool little EDC knife. I kind of miss mine, I gave it too my sister as a birthday present.

Bigfatts, that Enzo is beautiful.

In my neck of the woods, any folder is non-mainstream... Would a ZT 0561 be considered non-mainstream by Blade Forums standards?

Agreed on an Al Mar Mini Sere.

Here's two odd balls.

Some of you are familiar with the Mercator K55k Cat knife. Well you can also get it pure black, no numbers or images. Just monochrome clean and sleek. Like an elegant auto with grand lines. I have mine equipped with a one-armed-bandit for one-handed opening, and a black NiteIze eClipse so I can attach it. Very stylish.

At the other extreme, there is a little known knife called the Moore Maker Roper. Not a great knife but it's the only one-handed opening, clipped knife with a blade of 1095 steel that I know of. Takes a good patina and the ergos fit me just right.

Can you not afford another one? :D

Not at the moment, my knife money is being saved up for bigger purchases. The Douk Douk is definitely on my list, however. That thing was an awesome slicer, really light and thin too. The lack of a pocket clip was kind of a downside, though.
