Right now...for me, it's Age of Mythology.

Actually...it's the only PC game I have....not even mine, really...just "borrowed"...:D

Anyway...what's yours?

I've been tempted to get Baldur's Gate. Any good?

Dan

Baldurs Gate is nostalgic! I haven't played that forever! It's an awesome game though. If you like roleplaying games like that, also check out Baldurs Gate 2 and Planescape Torment. Diablo 2 is still tons of fun as well.

My rig is a little out dated, but some of my favorites are mostly first person shooters. Farcry, Doom 3, Half Life and Half Life 2, Deus Ex, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty 1 & 2 and Operation Flashpoint are all absolutely awesome games. Some of the newer ones I have played, like Bioshock and Gears of War (Xbox 360 but soon to be PC) have mind blowing graphics and gameplay.

Bioshock is pretty good...waiting on Gears of War for PC and Quake Wars to come out. I have a pretty decent rig.

Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

Yeah, #4 (Oblivion) has been out for a while, but after a few years of playing #3, I still have tons left to do.

Might get around to Oblivion by the time I'm 30. ;)

Truely one of the better RPG's I've played, because you can actually role play. In a lot of RPG's, especially console style ones, you follow a pre-destined path, learn pre-chosen skills once reaching a certain level etc. In Morrowind you have much more freedom than that. If you want to role-play as a Thief, the game lets you break into houses, steal from shop-owners, pick pockets and try to escape from the guards when they're called on you after being caught. If you want to play as a wizard, you can enchant armor to make your physically weak body more defended, shoot fireballs, summon creatures to fight for you, mix wild items like flowers and roots to make potions and create your own spells.

The options can be very overwhelming. I'd look into it, but only if you have lots of time to spare. I don't play it very often these past few months, but I still enjoy sitting down in the evening to a night of exploring dungeons and ancient ruins.

MY all time favourite is Deus Ex, the first one. The second, Invisible War, was good, but not as good as the first.

I also like the Grand Theft Auto serie, Vive City and San Andreas.

When I don't want to think and just to shoot, I like Battlefield 1942.

Call of Duty: United Offensive & Call of Duty 2. Waiting for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to come out.

Been a lot of good recommendations I would add Max Payne and Max Payne2 & Titan Quest

I'd get Oblivion if I could run it.

I play Morrowind off and on. The combat kind of sucks especially in the early levels and if you don't save often you might glitch and get yourself stuck in a hand railing on a bridge. And if you jump a lot after a while you can practically fly. :)

But as Vivi says theres so much to do its great. I think I'm going to go play.

Otherwise I play a little CS and DOD as well as a little Starcraft.

I'm a fan of a levitate ring + boots of blinding speed :)

I have a friend with an XBox 360 I might move out together with....if so I'll have to pick up Oblivion.

Elder Scrolls and Half Life series are at the top of my lists. I spent countless hours playing BG2 as well.

Yeah...I really like the RPG type games.

I actually found old copies of Dragon Warrior I,II,III,IV (for Nintendo) and an emulator for my laptop. Had loads of fun while in D.C. commuting on the Metro.

Keep the suggestions coming.

What other RPG games are hot?

Soldier of Fortune 2, Call of Duty 2, and Metal Gear Soild. My mouth is watering for Call of Duty 4. Has anyone picked up Medal of Honor Airborn? I have heard some folks are having problems with it. It crashes after a few minutes of game play. Anyone have this problem?
