:pwhat is your favorite and maybe show some pics in pocket.

My favorite is the Spyderco Manix 2. stays in place and doesnt mess up my jeans.

Production: CRK sebenza, the profile is perfect and it is very secure.

Custom: my STR lowrider.

I know they are useful to a lot of folk and that is great, I prefer knives in my pocket for a variety of reasons including grip comfort, less chance of loss or marring a surface I might brush up against and they look a little dumb in slacks ;). I do have a knife or two that I have not removed clips on for those occasions when I am in jeans and have a need to use the knife often, so I am not that close minded. :D

I like the design of Scott Cook's clip on his Lochsa and Gus' GTC designs as well as a few others. They meld more to the handle than sit on top and would like to see more makers (both production and custom) put more into the designs that would make them feel more a part of the knife instead of something that sits on top of it. Personally having a groove in the handle where the clip rests would be my preference even though it would obviously add to the cost.

The best I have used out of quite a few is the CRK Sebenza clip. It clips easily, holds secure but unclips easily also. Damn near perfect IMHO. I don't own a Lochsa so I can't compare.

Before I put carburetor parts in the dishwasher one too many times, I had a girl who would put a small cut on the inside of my slacks pockets, and sew it like a button hole to prevent tearing. This way, the knife was clipped and rode high in the pocket, so as to not get scratched by anything else in the pocket. It also kept the knife properly oriented in my pocket. Not that this really matters as I personally never carry for protection, nor would I ever draw a knife for that purpose.

You might look into getting this done, but make sure it's before you use the throttle body/coffee mug cleaning machine.

Here is a design by Gus on his integral folder that I like.

Sebanza works the best for me. Secure, and slides on and off (in and out?) easily and without bunching up the material.

I hate clips for how they feel as well. I wish more companies would make clips like Joe Caswell. That...or I wish Caswell would expand his line up. I love his clips, but his knife designs aren't that exciting to me.

The clip comes out when the blade is closed. When opened, the clip recedes into the handle.

My friend, those are gorgeous.

I would have to say that my favorite clips have been the common spyderco. They stay put but dont hold my pocket to hard.

Another supporter of the wire clip. Inconspicuous, deep carrying little wire of steel that is still shaped nicely around your fingers when you grip the knife.

In production knives, I really like the clip on my SOG Trident. Rides nice and low

My favorite would have to be..

Chris Reeve Sebenza Clip

and oh so VERY close Spyderco Wire Clip

The Seb clip just feels tighter/more secure, although I love the deep pocket carry and non knife looking style of the wire clip.

None of them. They are an invitation to lose your knife while
announcing to the world I AM CARRYING A BLADE.

I really like the clip on my sere 2000 for its low ride carry and my umnumzaan clip just for how it looks and holds.

but my favorite clis is the one on my burke mid tech fugitive, which is almost low riding but rather obvious. still, just looks great to me.

I like the clips made by STR the best.
For production clips, Spyderco wires are hard to beat.
