and let's narrow it down even more: double-edged, between 4 and 7 inches long.

favorite custom maker..

i'm curious to see what you all think?

have a good one,

steve

My favorite is a Murray Carter boot knife, nine and a quarter inches overall with buffalo horn handles. The quarter inch thick three-layered blade is 5 inches long. Murray does an absolutely super job at an extremely competitive price. (I bought mine from him at the Las Vegas show last February, and had the added enjoyment of talking knives with him for about an hour or so.) My second favorite in this category is a SOG Desert Dagger with a brass guard and stacked leather grip.

also tactical or fighter blades with sharpened secondary edge similar to what is seen with lightfoot's bulldog, as an example..

basically, i'm picking the forum's collective brain on this one..

From my collection I would have to say it's a Kershaw "Sticker". The knife was a gift from my friend Ray Lee (AKA maddogg2020). It was made in 1987 and I have no idea if it's still made, I know I had never seen one until Ray sent it to me. The guard and butt are integral, with nicely matched stag scales, it's a very nicely made knife.

The other knives shown are a Mike Irie Sport 500 and a Linder "Boot Dagger".

The Fällkniven G1 neck knife rocks! It's got a blackened VG-10 double-edged blade, with a neck sheath.

I got a mail from Fällkniven today, and they are close to introducing a larger dagger, probably in December. ****, I thought I would have some month without credit card bills in excess of $900...:D

Thomas J Ekman,

thanks for the information regarding the forthcoming new Fällkniven knife. I decided to buy the S1 model but now I think I should wait because I am also very taken with the Garm Fighter.
