Here's a pic of my two favorite rifles and a Busse.

Sweet, I've been thinking bout picking up a 700 in .308. I like that setup.

Ya, I love it. Been in the market for a 700 in .308 for a while and saw this setup for sale at a local gun shop when I went in to buy a pack.

Leupold Mark 4 illuminated reticle scope, awesome trigger job, graphite and kevlar stock, oversized bolt handle, jeweled and blued bolt, Surefire brake. Said I was going to pass but I was back the first thing the next morning ;)

BTW, it was previously owned by a female Marine who just got deployed. Still has her range calculations on the rear scope cover. Thought that was pretty cool.

Nice looking gear. Do you have a Suppressor to mount on that Surefire? I love a stubby bolt action!! How does she shoot?

well this is my favorite since my only others are a 10/22 and .40 carbine. still haven't shot it though. soon...

No can for it, would definately be cool with one though. Havn't had a chance to shoot it yet. Just got it Tuesday. Crazy its a favorite and I've yet to shoot it...yeah, I like it that much!

Hopefully I'll get a chance to take it to the range this weekend. Not sure because the girlfriend wants to go shooting with me which means indoors for the air conditioning ;) Kinda lame to only shoot it at 75 ft.

Nice lazi! I saw your pic on the five seven forum and you definately made the right decision going with that rifle.

I also was checking out the FNAR when I picked this up, just didn't appeal to me all that much.

Love .308, also have a PTR-91. Something like yours is on my short list.

having those rifles sitting side by side spoke volumes. I still want the FNAR but now something along the lines of your 700 will suite me. and yours is perfect to me... what's going on with the barrel? looks interesting...

Chopped and turned down, shrouded by the brake which is pinned.

I'm told it does 2" at 500 yards. I believe it as a shop that sells 75k machine guns doesn't need to BS me on a trade.

I've got ARs, AKs, precision rifles, shotguns etc...but this one is my favorite I think.

Parts list for those interested.
Standard 10/22
Tac-Sol threaded barrel
AAC Pilot suppressor
VQ hammer/sear/bolt release
Tac-Sol mag release
Tac-Sol charging handle
radiused/polished bolt
VQ extractor
Power Technologies(I think, its been a while since I put it in) urethane buffer
Tac-Sol scope base
Bushnell banner 6-24x40 scope
Hogue Overmold stock

I think thats everything.

With a CG FBM, I believe this was the first time I took it out after I got it from the exchange here, it has acquired substantial finish wear since then

nice green 10/22. I'm digging the silent treatments!

hmm... thought there would be more pics in this thread. I guess the hogs don't get far enough from the couch to warrant having a nice long gun. gonna start referring to the trigger finger as the F5 finger before too long.

Nice! I'm digging that 10/22. I had a build of my own planned until Smith and Wesson put out their M&P22. Then I scrapped the idea. You put so much into it, why not go the distance with an after market threaded receiver?

Might just get a reciever soon. Not a whole lot else I could do to it at this point

I agree. The receiver would do it. Check out MOAguns or Google M.O.A. Receivers. They make a decent threaded stainless receiver for for $180. Cheaper than most threaded receivers I've found. Or Tactical Innovations inc makes a few nice receivers too. They actually have one with a rear charging handle that replaces the factory side handle. Interesting, if you're into that. I haven't figured out if those are threaded though. It didn't jump out at me on their page.
