Favorite Scandi-Folder?

Since getting the ColdSteel FinnWolf, I've started using my folder more than a fixed blade while backpacking. It's been easier to leave the fixed blade in my tent unless absolutely necessary. Saves calories and possible overkill to carry; Skrama, Silky, FinnWolf, and fixed blade. I'm mulling over the idea of ditching a fixed blade altogether. Or at least keeping it in my pack. These are my ramblings. The real question is, what is your favorite scandi-folder?

Another thread inspired me to try other scandi-folders so I ordered the Gerber Mansfield and EnZo Borka. Hopefully do a review on them soon :D

I think it will be tough to top the Finn Wolf, unless you want premium steel. AUS8 is a good serviceable steel, and triad lock is among the strongest.
A basic Mora weighs 3 oz. so weight is equal. But if you want a folder, that is fine.
I like scandi grind, but I feel it is not common in folders, and I don't prioritize it over other considerations, like ergos, ease of use, ease of maintenance, cost. You can still do all the things you want with other grinds.

Agreed, not worth the weight savings.

OP, does the thumb stud get in the way?

While it’s a liner lock and they’re not considered trustworthy by many, the TOPS MSF 4.0 (manufactured by Maserin) is a great knife. It’s not large by any means (3.25” blade, 4.25” closed), so probably not capable of replacing a fixed blade, but would compliment one well. It’s comfortable in my XL hands, and comfort is important if you’re using a knife for extended periods.

I have a TBS scandi folder in curly birch, lovely little knife. Was looking at the Cold Steel but for less in the UK I can get an Eka scandi folder in 12c27 (which they HT very well) with their nice rubberised handles which is what I'll be going for.

I don't like liner locks because I've had Spyderco, Benchmade and Kershaw liner locks open in my pocket. Was by just a hair, but the fear of jabbing my thumb was too great. These days if a knife doesn't have decent tension pulling the blade closed, like by an inch or so, then I refuse to carry it in my pocket. Though using a low profile leather pouch like Leatherman uses might change my mind.

That MK III TBS BOAR looks very nice and might soon be in my collection. Would you share link to the Eka Scandi, I'm not easily finding one?

The Tops Fieldcraft BOB folder might be worth checking out.

N NeedItCheaper I was mistaken it seems they are hollow ground on the secondary bevel but nice reasonably priced folders.

Their rubberised handles are brilliant, tough but quite "tacky" and really nice in hand.

There is a smaller Swede 88 that looks like it is scandi.
The larger folders look quite nice, though.

That's not inherently because it was a liner lock. You can make a liner lock almost impossible to open if you were so inclined.
