The flicking is optional [emoji12]

I love the smoothness of my Sage 1 and 2, but the "backwards" middle finger flick of my Yojimbo 2 leaves a stupid grin on my face every time. I've tried to do it on every other spydie, and it just doesn't feel as safe or smooth. No clue if MJ reccomends it, but its 10x easier than using your thumb.

Second place goes to my SuperBlue Caly 3, only because its my oldest spydie and easiest/smoothest opening

Manix 2 S110V G10. I think it's because of the strong detent and when it let's go with the middle finger flick it flies out. A much more positive flick than all my other Spyderco's, but flick they all do....

My GB1 gets lots of flick time, then again my ATR does as well

That's funny. Before I even opened the thread and read your post I was going to say Yojimbo 2. Hands down the most fun Spyderco to open and close. For me anyway.

PM2, Sage 1, & Sage 2 fly open for me. The Manix 2's flick open pretty well too but I rarely open them that way.

There's a bunch that are super easy, but the PM2 was always my favorite for flicking.

I flick my Sage 3 using the inertia from my wrist flicking it, the blade deploys without having to touch it 😎

Pm2, yojimbo 2, and manix 2 for me. All fun too open and close, but I'm always a little nervous of chopping off a fingertip or knuckle with the way they effortlessly slam shut .

My Manix 2 CPM-S110V Light Weight flicks super easily. My preferred way to open it. I am ashamed to say it is my only large handled Spydie. All my other Spydercos are little dudes like the Cricket and Dragonfly and for me, do not lend themselves to the power of the flick. Perhaps I should adjust the pivots and give them more of a try.

There is a Military with sculpted / fluted Titanium scales in my future though (I read it in my palm :p:D) ;).
