First time I've seen this guy. Watched the first episode and it looks fun and informative. Thanks for the vid.

This series is pretty good, the A-Z of Bushcraft. This is the first one, A for Axe.

Personally I didn't know he had any snippets of his programs on the net :D

He has been travelling & living in the outback for extended periods of time since the 1960's.

I remember seeing the program that showed him making the shaft of that spear from a tree root (he was a lot younger in those days :D).

BTW, did you notice the black material holding the fish prongs to the head of the spear & the peg at the end of the woomera? That's spinifex resin

Kind regards
Mick

Good day Mick, Call me Tony..:)

I read your post about him in another thread and googled him. Sure enough some kind person uploaded a few seasons of his show on you tube. I spent the majoity of my work day yesterday watching his stuff. I loved every minute of it, he's a helluva outdoorsman and fisherman:thumbup:

So thank you, cause if you didn't mention him, I would have never known about it.

Take care,

Tony

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Malcolm Douglas is the real deal

I have been following his adventures for several decades. I have seen him take large numbers of game as well as fish with that spear over the years :D

There isn't too many survival experts that have a proven record of living off the land in genuine wilderness areas for years at a time without resupply like he has :thumbup:

BTW, since your a keen fisherman, try & see his program called "Search for Big Barra". You should see the size of the Barramundi he lands with fly gear

Kind regards
Mick
