Bura is my favorite Kami.
As the BirGhorka Foreman and the "Royal Kami", I feel his work is almost in a class by itself. The Shop is fortunate to have his many years of expertise behind them. He is a hard taskmaster, but a great teacher.

Vim is my favourite Kami as he work is of constant good quality and he can make them all, whether big or small.

But perhaps the most important aspect of his blades, is that the size of the grips he makes are much more suitable for my smaller hand over all blade lengths compared to those of Sher Kami.

Bura's blades are good but having only three compared to double that number made by Vim and Sher respectively, I prefer to reserve my opinion on working blades rather than display pieces of which he is indeed the 'Master'!

Bura. Kumar. Sanu.

Bura. if he makes it, it is usually perfect. Kumar for his UBE. Sanu because he could make a straighter line than anyone, including Bura.

Bura.

I have more of his blades than any other kami, and they seem to have a perfect fit and balance to them.

I only own three kukris, two of which are by Sher (the tiger): A 15" Ang Khola and an 18" Bhojpure. Both have a great heat treatment (never had any chipping or rolling on even seasoned wood), came with great kardas/chakmaks, and are thick/overbuilt (the AK is 1/2" thick when 15"ers are supposed to only be 3/8" thick and the Bhojpure is a hair over 1/2")

John my first M-43 was made by Bura. I plan to pick up another made by hoim since the one I have has seen considerable hard use. Without any problems I must add.

Bura is my favorite. His work is always consistently great.

Maybe it would help the OP if posters stated the number of blades they own by the various Kami's as a basis for informed judgement rather than opinion?

As an opener, I have six by Vim, eight by Sher and three by Bura amongst others.

I like Bura because he seems to have an impeccable sense of form and he makes some really clean lines.

A toss up between Bura and Sher (Tiger). I have a YCS Karda by Kumar that is pretty wonderful...
