I can fully understand that! Congratulations! That is a one of my favourite patterns! In fact my top three are all the same era..... "the fly" or "pheasant tail" in your pic, "the catch" and "Native American". Three outstanding CGGs!

If only I had a small and an Umfaan to go with..know anything about that nickpp nickpp ?

I have a tie for favorite this year, well, because I bought two and every CRK I have is a favorite.

Large Inkosi with natural Micarta last January. I just love the inlays and the refinements beyond the 25--particularly the floating stop pin.

Large Wilson Combat 25 Starbenza just last month to bracket 2017.. Despite my love for the Inkosi, there's nothing really wrong about a 25. This is the smoothest, freest CRK I've ever handled and I'm a huge fan of the WC starburst grips.

Dont be shy what's your favourite CRK purchase of 2017.....

After many years of searching I was lucky enough to find a CR helix lock, similar at first glance to the ubiquitous Opinel but with some clever engineering....

Nick

Nice Nick. That looks like a later one. Any idea of the history?

I picked up an early OPK Mountaineer (my favourite OPK) and Tanto. Ironically they were two knives that passed through my hands in the mid 80's:)

Hi Steven.
No record at all, bought it from Nordic. They listed it as #29 but it may be #24 It's hand engraved into the inner collar and not easy to read. Depend on the style of 4 that Chris would have used. I should ask Anne.
Not as cool as your stunning example but I'm more than happy to own one
My iPhone is not happy at macro work, this is the best I have....

I can imagine inflation has been rampant from the 80s prices:( Yep I mis my early OPKs....

That knife is stunning Nick! I can't post pictures right now but my favorite CRK purchase of the year was a OPK (shadow) that I picked up a couple months back.
