I'm just wondering what everyone's favorite knife with a pocket clip is?

My only p/clip knife is a Kincrome folding box cutter :D It's served well so far doing general tasks at work. Really strong lock up, no blade play, etc. etc. Good for $15.

Hinderer XM-24 is my baby right now - "Really strong lock up, no blade play". :D

Spyderco CF Military S90v.
I've never understood the appeal of spyderco blades. They just seem really ugly to me. Whats the big hole for in the blade?

I'd love one of these. Bit expensive for me at the moment. $250 is my current limit :P

My favorite knife clip knife is the one that has a deep-carry, foldover clip, and that dissapears into my pocket. This encompasses several of my knives since I have either;
A- made a foldover clip from the original

or

B- Gotten a clip from STR, or, recently, from usaknifemakers.com

No offense but you don't like a limited run Spyderco with one of the highest edge retention 'super steels' made and your favorite is a razor blade knife? That seems a little strange.

I don't like the Military model myself, but what do looks have to do with how a knife cuts? I don't like it because it is too big for me and feels awkward. Those folding box cutter knives are about as ugly as you can get yet you find the function in it. You should try to handle a Spyderco and then maybe you will see what the appeal is. And the hole is for opening the knife. Similar to a thumb stud, flipper, or nail nick.

Edit: My favorite is a Benchmade Rift.

When it comes to the aesthetics of a knife, I tend to prefer traditional fixed blades and folders, but I can't argue with Spyderco's quality. Their knives might not look nice to some of us, but they certainly work well. I used to wonder what people saw in them (or in most modern folders for that matter) until I held and used one.

The hole, like somebody already pointed out, is to open the blade.

My favourite knife with a pocket clip is the Spyderco Mini Manix.

The appeal of Spyderco is in the functionality of the knives. If you've never held one in your hand and used them, it's hard to understand. It's like trying to understand the taste of a steak when you've never tried beef.

If you take a chunk of putty, and squeezed your hand around it to create the perfect ergonomic handle, that handle will be ugly to your eyes. It's like that.

At the moment, it is a toss-up between my Cold Steel Recon 1, my Benchmade 950 Rift and my foliage green Spyderco Manix 2.

As said above the hole in the blade is for super easy opening. Their appeal comes from consistently high quality, top shelf materials, superb ergonomics and awesome cutting performance. You’re thread is about knives with a pocket clip, well before spyderco knives didn’t have pocket clips or one hand opening for that matter.

As far as my favorite…lol it takes me most of the morning to decide what to carry, I’m not sure I can even venture to guess what my favorite is. Top contenders would be the Spyderco Military, CRK Sebenza and the Kershaw Volt.

The little Boker Subclaw is my personal favorite.

Here it is with a much larger Byrd Crossbill

Sorry if i offended anyone with my comment about spyderco's. Really wasn't my intention and i could have worded my statement better.

The box cutter is far from my favorite knife. I'm a new knife nut and have only bought a couple of knives and they're sheathed folders. The only reason that box cutter is my favorite p/clip knife is because is my only pocket clip knife. I made this thread to get ideas on what to buy next because through the box cutter I've discovered the usefulness of the pocket clip. Unfortunatly i think i would have to buy one to handle one because Australia doesn't really have shops dedicated to knives. Sorry for the confusion. Oh and thanks for explaining the hole.

I can appreciate that. Aesthetics is also important to me when buying a knife though. I don't EDC because of the crazy knife laws (i think a box cutter or utility tool is about all i can carry around with the excuse "It's for work"), so super steels that can keep an edge cutting through a brick aren't really my priority. I just need something that looks good, feels good and can last a weekend of camping without extensive sharpening (although sharpening a knife around a camp fire is a good way to pass time).
Thanks.

That volt looks nice.
