My favourite SAK is the Recruit. It's a perfect cheap backup/loaner that still performs. There may be an alox cadet in my future though... What about everyone else?

Alox Cadet. It is small, slim, and has only what is needful, while looking good.

I'm partial to the Huntsman. I just ordered a Cadet the other day. If it only had scissors it would be perfect. I think I might pick up a climber soon as well. Lol... It's a sickness.

I have two "Officers". I think. One a Vic; one a Hoffritz. They have a Phillips instead of a corkscrew.

Whichever model it is they have been great for decades. One has been with me as much as any knife I own. Never purchased or used any other SAK.

If you couldn't already tell by the pic below, my favorite is the Cadet... My second favorite is the One Hand Trekker.

Mine is the Vic Adventurer. I find cork screws just wasted space when something else might be available in a different model. But generally speaking, I prefer the two layer SAKs to use. I might carry a thicker one in a day pack, but not in my pocket or in a belt pouch.

Did you have custom work done on the blue Cadet in the very back of the picture?

Oh, my favorite? I guess I have two. The Soldier and a model called the Mechanic.

Yes, I had a scissors added to it by "Syph007" here on BF. I recently removed the scissors however and now it has the normal configuration.

I thought so. I would love to have some pliers added to a Soldier or a Pioneer. An Electrician with pliers would be even better for an EDC.

Nice collection BTW.

mine's the Compact. Love that one. usable size knife, good sized scissors, tweezers, combo can/bottle opener.

has what I need for 99% of use, in a nice slim compact package - pun intended :)

only thing I wish is that the stupid grocery bag hook was replaced with an awl.

Tough call for me. In the city I like the Tinker. In the woods I like Farmer.

The Pioneer is a good compromise between the two I guess.

What a cruel question. There are way too many things to consider and too many great choices.

I think I saw a blowtorch in that last one.

My favorite is the Classic Alox. Literally disappears in the pocket, yet still provides useful tools for small jobs. Good supplement to a larger knife.

Electrician plus==Farmer with a sheepfoot instead of the can opener and no lanyard attachment.--Hard to find!--KV
