favs of the following blade shapes

I have a Spyderco Rescue 93mm and an Atlantic Salt, which are sheepsfoots (sheepsfeet?). I'd prefer a wharncliffe blade style instead, for more "stabbiness", but that's contradictory to the "rescue" design. I'm unaware of any fully serrated wharncliffes.

It is my expereince that the more pronounced point of the Wharnnie blade makes it a more versatile cutter. So I'd have to go with the Wharnnie design. ;)

I'm not a great fan of the wharnnie, but I much prefer it over a sheepsfoot.
To me a knife is only half a knife if it doesn't have a sharp point.

Both are great but I think the Wharncliff is a better everyday knife since the point can still be used. The Sheepsfoot blade is great in a Stockman where you have a more pointy blade if you need it. I use the Sheepfoot blade more than any other blade in my Stockmans.

Take a Wharncliff blade, move the tip up to about half way between centerline and where it started and reduce the extreme point if it has one and you have the pecfect blade for EDC. The Spyderco Calypso (not Jr. model) has about the best blade design I have seen. It is a tad long however but nearly perfect. It won't skin game but it will do just about everything else.

I don't consider hunting to be an every day carry duty anyway. If I am going hunting, I get a hunting knife and take it along. For all other uses, my EDCs are fine.
