A little while back I scored a (an?) FBM off the exchange, and after several unsuccessful assaults on the USPS I finally managed to get the package this morning. I'm totally stoked, I very briefly owned a SFNO fat at one point, but this will be my first user that I think I'll be keeping for a long while. Here's a few pics of her with rat cousins. And one weird looking dude in the background. I threw in the RD7 just for scale.

Glad to see you finally snagged it!

Congrats! The FBM is definitely a keeper! ;)

Great job taking it to the USPS. (I actually have had great experiences with USPS). Awesome blade too!

twoz my first knife... Busse that is.. .every other knife has been sold or given away, they just don't do it for me...

My FBM is a mean user, congrats on a great score, same combo as mine :)

Gravelface,
Yes, I believe the previous owner had the sheath made for the knife, it's a perfect fit. One of the reasons I snagged it when I saw it on the exchange.

G19G26,
Yup came through in perfect condition, thanks. Love it so far, need to beat some trees with it now.

Lagarto, Nice blade, good collection.

Chuck, did you ever get your desert FBM?

Dang! ;) Looks like I'm going to have try making my own sheath. Thanks for the two tutorials that were posted earlier! Both by Chuddy Bear I believe.

It is a pleasure to see someone thinking about correct grammar. Most people today just can't be bothered and that is a shame. The rule is: Use the article "a" if it precedes aword beginning with a consonant and use "an" if it preceds a word begining with a vowel. Good work Keep it up

Thanks mfaster. While we're on the subject I have a degree in history, and I don't know when it became the norm but suddenly everyone's "an" historian, not a historian. I don't care if it is grammatically correct, the next time I hear it I'm going to beat the guy with a FBM. How's that?

Maybe it depends how you pronounce it. If they say it right, and continue to say "an", beat 'em up! If they're speaking pidgin and say it like "an 'istorian" well maybe, just maybe they'd get a little credit. But you'd still want to beat them up. And this is coming from an English major.

Hold on there. If you are saying "fusion battle mistress", the proper article is "A". On the other hand, if you are saying "eff-bee-em", the proper article is "AN" because the verbalization meets the rule of beginning with a spoken vowel, even though it is written with a leading consonant. This is one of the vagaries of the English language and written vs. oral presentation.
