I finally scored my first FBM LE, and I am really impressed with this knife, but I have found various versions of this blade. Several with serial numbers, others are sterile. Can someone please bring me up to speed on the history of offerings and background of this blade? Thanks.

It was one of the last LE's that, if you were so inclined, could request to have sterile, logo'd but with no number, or numbered but with no logo. Keep in mind that IIRC, ALL LE's, sterile or not do still have their respective number under the handle somewhere...
After the FBMLE run, the next run was the Badger Attack TAC run and it is rumored that there are only a few BATACLE's that are sterile, and then Jerry decided to end this practice from the CGASH-1/LEASH-1 run forward. I believe that you can still request CG versions sterile??? Not sure on this.

Congrats on your score of an FBMLE... It is truly an awesome Busse!! :D:thumbup:
