No ,I usually wear chainsaw gloves ,bring the lanyard up around the top of the grip and twist until tight, if I were to let go the knife would'nt drop or flip.
I really don't grip the knife tight at all ,so my hand rarely tires .The explanation is confusing but I'll take a picture.
