For the purpose of web searching and such, how do I differentiate name-wise between the FBM with the faceted grind versus one with a full flat or full vex?

By faceted if you mean the ones with corrugation, that one is the CGFBM. If you're looking for the other, I'd search for FBM LE.

The original FBM was corrugated (the ridges) and approx 1/4" thick

The FBM Le was approx 5/16ths thick and had a full height grind

The Fat Flat Fusion Battle Mistress was 5/16 and had a 3/4 (or Sabre) Grind.

That about covers the originals. :)

Each of those major variants will have a very different feel in hand.

And then there have been all sorts of Show specials that further complicate things.

that seems pretty indicative of the busse experience. I think I'm gonna start squirreling for a CGFBM-CBT and keep my eyes peeled. can you still order older models like that from them?

Oh yes, most assuredly the custom shop loves to throw a wrench into the works! I blame Garth! :p :) How can someone be pure evil and yet be so sugary nice at the same time! One of the scariest people I know. :D

Honestly, shop our exchange here, look for an established collector/member and let them guide you and help you to find what you want. Its been so long since we've seen CBT's I do wonder if its possible to order a new one with them? Garth you evil tempter, you can tell us. Please? :p

I dont think anyone has ever referred to me as sugary before. LOL.

You must be thinking of someone else.

Garth

Its a Southern Vernacular. :D Like sweetpea.

Worry when a Southern lady says "Bless Your Heart!" They have a way to make the worst slams sound downright nice. :p

Good to see you too my friend! :D :D :D

You are going to have to email the Shop with that question.

As far as picking one up on the secondary market, they do come up reasonably often, but it seems like the price has been creeping up.
