FBMLE and CGFBM Owners - Weight question

Those of you who have acquired both Combat Grade and LE FBMs - how's the weight difference? Are the LE's significantly heavier. They are significantly handsomer. I was wondering if they were usable in the bush or would the weight pull down your belt to knee height in the middle of an expedition.
 
Le's are still on the way. But I have 3 CGs'. Two with std width handles that don't weigh in the same. The black one wieghs 26.01 oz. and the tan one weighs 26.09 oz. Close to an ounce difference. Go figure!

He has a scale, but I don't think he sells anything illegal..........:)
 
OOPs! Too quick with the keyboard! Must be because of the other stuff on the scale! :D:D:D 26.1 & 26.9. is more like it.
 
LE 1.93 bls

CG with black G-10 Mags 1.80

CG w/ green linen mags 1.65
 
1.93 is a beast! But honestly, it's pretty darn close to that black g-10 mag Combat Grade... I kind of thought the difference would be more dramatic.

Cool -- just trying not to die waiting...
 
I'm about 260 in the off season and cutdown to about 190 during the season.
 
I'm guessing the reason is those corrugated bevels, they stick out pretty far from the "primary" grind and add quite a bit of steel compared to a regular flat grind.

In the winter I get bevels that stick out a little too. They do add weight :eek: .

Which means that some of the CG Mistresses are almost the same weight as the LE's. MMM. Interesting. Just hope my CG (which hasn't arrived yet) isn't too heavy. I really liked my Zero Tolerance BM because of the light weight. Hope the CGFBM is as lovable.
