Here is one fresh back from Paul with a very nice sheath.
I'm taking it to the Oregon Show and then its off to Jere Davidsons for the engraving. This is my first and only full tapered tang with rear bolsters. The real trick was to put the guard, handle and bolsters on before etching to bring out the pattern. I used about a half bottle of blue fingernail polish to cover everything except the stag texture which got black tape.

Wow, the whole package is exceptional in every way! I hope we get to see it after engraving! Thanks for the peek! Very nice photo too!

Another beauty, Bruce! Sounds like you etched the entire tang. That's a lot of etch resist to apply as well as remove! :)I would have been tempted to just etch from the guard forward. You're a patient man. Maybe that's why I don't do many full tangs anymore.

An absolute beautiful hunter which will only be improved by the Jere Davidson engraving.

Bruce, you continue to impress with each piece that comes off your bench.

This is a piece that I'd be extremely proud to own, it's perfect Bruce. I think the engraving will take it over the top, please let us have a look after the embellishment.

That beautiful yet functional knife/sheath combo will make someone incredibly happy.:thumbup::thumbup:
