Feather fighter and feather hunter.....

Gday folks,
Here is the end result of a visit to Bruce Bumps place back in June to learn how to make a feather pattern.
An 8.5" fighter with stag Feather fighter2_opt.jpg
and a 4" hunter with some nicely featured Jarrah.Feather hunter2_opt.jpg
I still have another piece for a slip joint blade which i will try and get done for the Boise show.
Last but not least a 4" drop point in 1080 edge quenched with featured Wandoo.

Is that some engraving on the guard of the fighter? I can't really tell from the photo.

Gday Kevin, Sorry about the pic but theyre W's you can see. It is the end piece of a stack that i cut off so it has W's on the sides and bits and pieces changing direction on the face and rear of the gaurd. The butt cap is a piece of twisted W's that was then upset.

wow excellent piece! i lack an understanding of Damascus forging, how is that possibly accomplished?
