As long as it has nothing to do with building something with snow, I'm in.
Don't get me wrong, I think the challenges are great! It was the lack of snow that was a bummer!Nope, I'm wanting to go with some more tangible skills. Not that building a snow shelter isn't important knowledge and skills, its just area and weather specific. I'm sure the Canadians know tons more about snow shelters than I ever will, since I've never built one or had the need to.
I like stuff that applies across the board, like fire, game cleaning, rope work, land nav, stuff like that.
Its just kinda hard to incorporate that stuff in a challenge. Could you imagine the circus that would insue if we had a land nav challenge?

I know it's hard to come up with a good challenge for everybody; especially since the board is growing people from all over the world are joining.
If I had entered the "build a log cabin" challenge and had whipped out an AR to blow it up, I'd be in jail right now. Same goes for hunting, you need permits up the ass to do that here, getting a hunting license in Germany takes a year and you need to do a course.
Last year, it was a 48hr, minimal gear challenge.
Now something like that would be right up my alley!!
Search for it, the guys had fun, Dresnor won, Derek and Pointy got some runner ups prizes.
