February Challenge?

Yeah, well, there's that.

We're just a little slow at the moment, bear with us.

If we don't have one in Feburary, then, we'll do an extra special on in March.

As long as it has nothing to do with building something with snow, I'm in.

Nope, I'm wanting to go with some more tangible skills. Not that building a snow shelter isn't important knowledge and skills, its just area and weather specific. I'm sure the Canadians know tons more about snow shelters than I ever will, since I've never built one or had the need to.

I like stuff that applies across the board, like fire, game cleaning, rope work, land nav, stuff like that.

Its just kinda hard to incorporate that stuff in a challenge. Could you imagine the circus that would insue if we had a land nav challenge?:D

Don't get me wrong, I think the challenges are great! It was the lack of snow that was a bummer!

I know it's hard to come up with a good challenge for everybody; especially since the board is growing people from all over the world are joining.

If I had entered the "build a log cabin" challenge and had whipped out an AR to blow it up, I'd be in jail right now. Same goes for hunting, you need permits up the ass to do that here, getting a hunting license in Germany takes a year and you need to do a course.

Yeah, its tough to do, but I think we've been pretty successful so far. We have plenty more ideas, and some great contests lined up, its just a matter of implementing them, at the right time, in the right order.

Not sure if most have caught onto this, but our challenges are single skills, that one they have been attempted, will all be brought together in one final challenge per year. Last year, it was a 48hr, minimal gear challenge. For a BK10LE.

So, those that enter and attempt the singular challenges, will have some experience going into the yearly challenge.

The February challenge its not going nuts while waiting for a Machax, 14 handles, or SOMETHING to come out. I'm tweaking enough I could even buy a 5. This is like the bus stop trick. If you get tired of waiting.... Leave. As soon as you start walking the bus will show up. If I bought a 5 or 7, the 4 would be out the next day.

I'm excited to see the challenge as well, but like I've said before, its hard to get out and do them for me during the school year (not whining, just stating the facts). The summer ones though... they're going to be game on. I mean, I'll only be working 40hrs a week, and will have tons of time on my hands then.

And speaking of disappointing winters... Its been raining here :(.

february challenge...

mmm...

so many things to do.

well. i dunno. i'll just set back and think about shooting targets. since my outdoor range is FROZEN but not covered with snow, annoying.

How far can you stab you Becker knife into your arm.

deeper you knife goes more chance of winning............done
let it blood bath begin.

Sadly, yes I can imagine a land nav circus. I had to help train our Navy Corpsmen on a two day land nav course once. Horrible!

Strategically place Sabre ground Bk16's around the US and make beckerheads use their land navigation skills to find them. If you find it it's yours! Haha wouldnt that be some crazy stuff. :D

PS: I'm obviously kidding

Feb's contest inbound. Stay tuned, its a good one.
