Hello Pakcik Bill, Rusty, all ...

drop by ... after so long!

I am just wondering ... Is the Khuk in the pict is a real or just a drawing?

It sure look fancy and a beau!

This is a real kukri done around 1880-1890. It has an ivory grip covered with lacquered fish skin. The silver 'wire' spells out the owners name: A.C.Lyall. The scabbard was once once covered by a sumptous brocade material.

Last I heard, it was in some Japanese collection. I got the picture from one of its owners in Germany.

I cannot imagine even try to grip this thing and sure it was just for display use.
