Federal Tax Refunds?

My accountant filed my taxes electronically. IRS website claims refunds should take three weeks, but I am hearing rumors that there will be delays. Has anyone else heard anything? I am fortunate enough to get a refund this year. I used the "where's my refund" page and I have no updates or anything.

The last I heard on the delays it was only for people who filed before the 31st of Jan - they were not processing those through until February started. The "Where's my refund" has mine on time (assuming it actually does deposit when it says it will).

Okay, that's good to hear. Mine still shows as being received, not approved. But I think it will show that like two days before the monet drops into my account. At least that's kinda what happened last year.

My ex-wife had my refund in her hands in 2 weeks. (The state seized it for child support even though we have a court-ordered payment arrangement.)

Mine was electronic. All ready got it back and spent it all. Took 2 weeks...to get it took less to spend it. ;)

Mine was approved on the 14th. I filed electronically, so I should have it soon. It will go to paying off debt.

I think it depends on what forms you have to submit. I have been using the same person/firm to do my taxes for the last 24 years and they tell me they cannot even file my taxes until the Federal government makes up their mind on some of the forms. Something to do with the fiscal cliff. Of course I am due a large refund, so I am not surprised. John

My 1040A was E-filed on Monday the 4th and it was deposited into my bank account on Wednesday the 13th. I was happy.

I e-filed mine in the first week of February (forget exact date) and had my refund in my account in less than 10 days. Fastest ever for me.

Same here, like greased lightning this year.... :D
