I've looked back through all the threads started here since the mid-April software changeover and have not found this issue addressed, so I figured I'd bring it up. This is neither a complaint nor criticism, but simply an observation.
Under the old feedback system one was required to leave both a short public review and a private comment or message which was only viewable by the principals in the transaction. With the new system, what is entered in both boxes is seems viewable by all. I've checked this by going to someone else's feedback page and clicking on a transaction in which I was not involved that occurred after the changeover. After clicking on an individual feedback line both the public and no-longer-private comment open up for any post-changeover feedback left. Pre-changeover comments are still not visible by others not involved in the transaction.
I don't have any strong feeling about this change either way. Under the old system, the private comment was an easy way to leave a discrete message for a non-paying member as there is no option to PM in such a case. I would always leave a private comment regardless (I believe it was required anyway). On the other hand, the new system affords the opportunity to leave something more than a brief "review" that may be germane to those seeking guidance from feedback.
Anyway, I bring this up as a Caveat Emptor/Vendor as your post-changeover feedback comments seem no longer private. I'm also curious as to how Spark, the Mods, and others feel about this change.
