Feedback issue

Hello,

I am trying to live feedback (as a seller) for some of my resent sales but on two different occasions I have received the following error massage:
"The following error occurred:
Invalid thread specified. You can leave feedback only for the starter of the thread or if you have started the thread."
Needless to say I have included a correct thread for the transaction and I have done it a couple of times with the same result.

That usually results from trying to leave feedback with a thread where the seller AND buyer haven't yet posted in the thread. If you as the buyer didn't post in the thread then you won't be able to leave feedback; both parties need to have posted evidence of a transaction in the same thread to prevent fraudulent feedback.

In both cases buyers did not post in the thread. They just PMd me directly. I guess it means that I cannot leave feedback for them..oh well.

Yep, if they wanted feedback they needed to post in your thread.

I was in the same situation as you ... I simpley contacted the other party seller or buyer and had them post a simple "I'll take it" or a "this one's sold" in the orginal sale thread ... and it allows both parties to leave feedback.

Well that is a definite change from the previous forum format. Thanks for the info, as I have encountered the same issue.

I want to leave a feedback for the buyer of my knife. But I do not know where to find the thread that is required.
Please help. Old timer not too computer smart!!!

Go to your profile page. Find and click on the Information tab, then find and click on All threads started. Scan your threads until you find the ad for the knife in question - click on it.
