Good afternoon,

I’m a beginner knife maker and was wondering if I could get some feedback. I would like to eventually sell ones I make so I’m hoping to be able to get some feedback that will make my knives much better.

This first knife I made was only made with a file, hack saw and a drill. The second two I used a grinding belt, 120 grit and finished up to 400 grit sandpaper. All of the knives I sharpened with a 600 to 1000 grit sharpening stone (up until it would shave my arm hair off).

For heat treating I used a torch and cooled with vegetable oil. Steel I used is 1084 from nj steel baron.

For the sheaths I used kydex .80.

Thank you, any feedback is helpful.

Also, if I were to sell these what is a reasonable price.

Aside from the photos, and the other subfoum, when you get your photos figured out, you will need a paid membership before you can discuss values of your knives, but with a paid membership, you will also be able to sell here.

In general I'd think that as you are starting out, cost of materials and consumables is a fair starting point. Other guys who actually make/sell will have their own ideas as well, but it takes time before you can reasonably add the cost of your time into it. Consider these the practice runs, because as you get better, you will likely get faster, so that will even out.
