Is there a way to get feedback removed for a sale that never happened? The user was mad that I sold it to someone else because he failed to reply for quite sometime. No item or money was ever actually sent or received.

This is an ongoing issue. I believe only Spark the owner of the site can fix it, and I have seen people with exactly this issue who still had the negative feedback after years of asking.

Try emailing or pm-ing Spark.

Disappointing that a paying member can't get a simple problem like removing a simple feedback blemish taken care of.

IMHO, feedback should only be able to be submitted by the actual buyer and seller of an item (as on "that auction site"). I wonder if that is easy to arrange given the more casual process here...

This is really saddening, if what your saying is true, and there is no info being left out, these people really need to get some integrity and move on.

Well if you check your feedback, he left you a neutral score. Maybe in this case it is deserved if you had actually agreed to take a money order. Just going off of what he left for the feedback. Would need to hear more from the other person and if he can provide emails ware you said you would take an MO then I believe he did the correct thing in letting people know how you conduct business with the Neutral feedback. You still have 100% so don't worry about it to much!

Feedback isn't for trades/sales that never happened. He failed to reply in a timely manner so I assumed he was no longer interested.

I'm aware of this. On the other hand we need more info. If you did actually agree to an MO(this is key), You agreed to sell him the knife then and there, you do realize Money orders it is not exactly a speedy process. I agree a feedback should not of been made but if you did in fact agree on taking a MO, then decided for the quick sale instead you did him dirty and owe him an apology.

Also looking at the time frame in witch all this happened, your not very patient if at all! I hate taking sides but I'm kinda leaning towards the other guys side as you can tell. Im sorry if this offence you but im just going of the facts.

Edit: I truly do apologize, I know this is not even on topic but think its worth mentioning. You as the seller can sell to who ever you want. I'm just trying to say that if you agreed to a Money order then sell it to some one ells I would be upset as well. I would not leave a feedback score but would have started a GBU thread. So that people know you will Take Paypal over Money order.

The seller can refuse to sell to anyone without a reason. There should be no negative feedback if no sale took place.

There is no negative feedback here, rather a neutral feedback was left with a comment of the seller agreeing to take a money order and ultimately selling to someone else the same night. Always 3 sides to these stories. While a seller can sell to whomever they like, that does not give sellers an open license to commit to a deal and then flake out.

The rule "selling to whomever you like" is there as a say to exclude problematic transactions from occurring. For example, people that historically buy items and then slam the seller for not disclosing novel about a microscopic ding in a knife. It's there to give a little leeway in dealing with difficult people, not as an excuse to steamroll on your own word. There is an expectation of responsibility involved on the part of the seller as well.

The time didn't bother me it was not getting a response from the buyer. Don't tell someone you will buy something then run off and not reply to emails. I will live with the neutral feedback. At least it isn't for scamming or something stupid like that.

In your sale thread it looks like you waited less than 3 hours before moving to the next person...

Not everyone has 24/7 computer access. I would think giving someone about 24 hours to respond would be reasonable. If you want immediate responses you can state that in your sale thread, but you don't seem to have mentioned anything like that.

Even if Chris is in the wrong NO feedback should have been left and should be removed. As stated by mods no feedback should be left for deals that never happened whether it be bad or neutral. So I'm sure they will look into removing it for you.

That is true but I assume if you posted in the thread you have access to the internet. Anyways it isn't a big deal so I will go ahead and close this thread.
