Feedback prob.

Is there a "Rate This Seller" or "Rate This Member" button at the bottom of the seller's first post in the sale thread?

If so, try using that if you haven't already.

Hello Guy's. I'm having trouble leaving feedback again. It asks for proper url (http://www.bladeforums.com/threads/price-drop-spyderco-sale-sage-cf-native-nat) which I did twice, but it still won't go through. Thanks much for any help.RP

That URL doesn't include the thread number, a proper link would include the title of the thread and then the number at the end of it, like so: (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...ive-native-cf-military-ti-slysz-bowie.1509738) That '1509738' is how the forums keeps track of individual threads, because titles change but each thread has its own unique number at the end.

So, if you use the link I supplied it should work.

Hello KingMC. No that doesn't work either. I tried six times now, writing a review each time. It shouldn't be this complicated. THanks for your help though.

Maybe I misunderstood, are you leaving feedback for the OP in the thread you posted? or are you trying to leave feedback for another sale and just used that thread as an example?

Yes for the OP. It's just perplexing! Doesn't everyone have this prob, or is it just me? I think the universe hates me. I'm pretty sure about this.o_O

I'm no expert here. Only trying to help. Are you attempting to leave feedback through the OP's profile page or did you click on the "Add Feedback" phrase under the OP's avatar in the sales thread? I'm under the impression that using the "Add Feedback" feature in the sales thread automatically adds the URL to the necessary field in the feedback box so you don't have to type it or paste it there.

That possibility being eliminated, I see that you have left feedback once since the forum update. Are you doing anything different than you did the last time?

Hi Rs. No, nothing different. I had same trouble last time too. Someone gave me a link to try and it worked. Yes I used the add feedback link, but that didn't give me the url.

I see in your last tech support thread about this the link you were trying was missing the final digit of the number at the end of the link, which was causing it to link back to a much older thread that had the smaller number at the end. Try copying and pasting these links, see if one of them works.

This one's non-https:
Code:
http://www.bladeforums.com/threads/price-drop-spyderco-sale-sage-cf-native-native-cf-military-ti-slysz-bowie.1509738/

This one is just the number without the text:
Code:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/1509738/

The non- https worked. Alleluia! Thanks so much helping out KingMC. That was starting to get ugly.:) I'll remember the missed digit so we don't have to go through this again. Thanks again.

Now I wonder if it was the https or if somehow the link was different than what was tried earlier. We're gonna need some more feedback issues with https links to confirm anything's wrong, though.

Yea, I was wondering if there are many having the same problem. Hopefully it gets worked out. thanks again

The thread where the transaction took place needs to be copied EXACTLY as it appears on the browser. You also need to post in the thread if you are the buyer, if no the feedback system will not allow the rating to be processed. That prevents feedback padding, it was a minor issue with some people in the past.
