Feedback problem

Trying to leave feedback for a buyer in one of my threads, but I keep getting this message:

The following error occurred:
Invalid thread specified. You can leave feedback only for the starter of the thread or if you have started the thread.

I am the member who started the thread so I'm not sure what to do here. The buyer is a member called KBA.

I have the same problem trying to post a positive feedback for an Exchange knife where I am the buyer. I did try to post the feedback from within the thread (yesterday and today) and got the same error message shown above. The sales thread in question was: http://www.bladeforums.com/threads/tanto.1498216/

OK, now I get it. As a buyer, I have to post in the thread before I can leave feedback. What happened is that I PMed the seller and completed the transaction with him without posting in the thread. After I saw the above answer I posted in the thread and then was able to leave a feedback.

It would be helpful if the error message could be more informative.
